It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

For fun, I decided to create a DRAWING CONTEST! This contest is welcome to all artists. It is an outlet to spread your inventive, imaginative oeuvre amongst others and also, it's a great opportunity to earn a lump sum of points.
So what exactly is the focus of this contest?
Well, I'm seeking drawings of my OC, Pocky Princess.
Okay, before you ask in the comments Who the lump is Pocky Princess and what's Pocky?! -- I'll explain. Pocky Princess is my original character from the world of Adventure Time. She was named after Japanese snack food, Pocky, which consists of chocolate-coated biscuit sticks. Pocky Princess has a similar body shape to Finn's girlfriend, Flame Princess [link], however she is very rotund, pinkish hair, lightly yellow-toned skin, and keeps it in a chopstick odango [link] – but instead of there being chopsticks in her hair, she has two sticks of Pocky! Pocky Princess has a soft pink pastel color schemed dress inspired by strawberry flavored pocky -- [link] -- Pastel colors would be really lovely.

Pocky Princess is very shy and timid. Of course, she likes pocky. And also, she has a little crush on Finn the Adventurer. She's twelve years old, almost thirteen.
Try to be creative with the character design, theme, and background! :3

Winner can get up to 400 * + other additional things (to be announced.) 400 points is also the point equivalent to a one month premium membership. Again, it all depends on how many people are interested and enter and how the points (may possibly) be divided.
* = Prizes may vary depending on how many people enter and submit drawings.
Judging will be based off of creativity and originality; both traditional and digital drawings are accepted. However, you may submit one entry. Just give a link to your drawing in this journal. If you're going to enter, please notify me in this journal by commenting or faving. And please submit your original artwork! Any modified, altered, or colored artwork by another artist is not allowed.

If any other information is needed about the contest, please comment in this journal. I'll reply ASAP.
This journal is full of links to references and her design concept -- hopefully you find them helpful.
